Last month, Jackie, Jess, and Michelle from our La Porte branch spent their volunteer time off supporting @SAIndiana unloading donated canned goods collected by the Postal Service for their Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Between La Porte and Michigan City, the Salvation Army received over 4,000 pounds of donated food! 💛🖤 Great job, La Porte team!

❓ 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁: Did you know that University Books Store first introduced Purdue Pete back in 1940? The original owners, Doc Epple and Red Sammons, commissioned California artist Art Evans to design a logo to help with advertising and that's how Pete was born! 🔨 How cool that our winning card design features UBS's original artwork!

We are pleased to announce the addition of two experienced commercial lending professionals to support business members in Northwest Indiana!

⚫ Karin DeVries joined us in February as Senior Account Vice President, Member Business Loan Officer. She brings 33 years of financial services experience, with a strong background in commercial and industrial (C&I) lending and medical financing. She also serves as a Board Member of The Caring Place.

⚫ Kathy Ireland joined us on March 16 as Senior Account Vice President, Member Business Loan Officer. She brings 38 years of financial services experience, providing extensive expertise in commercial lending, working with both privately owned businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She is actively involved in the community, serving as Board Treasurer of Sojourner Truth House, member of The Rotary Club of Valparaiso, and a committee member for the Crisis Center and Valparaiso Family YMCA.

In their roles, Karin and Kathy will work closely with local businesses to provide lending solutions and financial guidance that support growth and long-term success. Their addition strengthens Purdue Federal’s continued commitment to serving businesses and communities throughout Northwest Indiana.
