어제 일당 30만 원 받고 모르는 사람 장례식에서 울어주는 알바를 했어.

구인 글에는 딱 이렇게 적혀 있었거든.

'고인의 오랜 친구처럼 조문해 주실 분.'

장례식장에 도착했는데 분위기가 좀 이상했어.

조문객이 나 포함해서 딱 7명이었거든.

영정사진에는 스물아홉쯤 되어 보이는 여자가 있었어.

다들 검은 옷을 입고 있었는데
이상하게 아무도 울지 않았어.

나는 돈 받고 온 거니까
최대한 슬픈 표정을 지으면서 앉아 있었지.

근데 영정사진을 계속 보고 있으니까
5년 전에 세상을 떠난 내 친구가 생각나는 거야.

갑자기 눈물이 나더라고.

결국 혼자 한참을 울었어.

그렇게 장례식이 끝나고
알바비를 받으려고 기다리고 있었거든.

그때 누군가 내 어깨를 톡톡 두드렸어.

그 여자의 부고를 받았어.

장례식장에 도착했는데
빈소 앞에서 발걸음이 멈췄어.

전부 다시 와 있었거든.

이번에는 누구도 돈을 받지 않았어.
