💜 “Love follows knowledge.” 💡

On this day, the 28th of January, we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron saint of the University of Santo Tomas and all Catholic educational institutions.

In 1274, St. Thomas Aquinas died, having never finished writing 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘢 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢. In 1323, he was canonized as a saint, with his feast day commemorated on March 7. By the 20th century, his feast day was moved to January 28.

A key highlight of the celebration is the Traslacion, a solemn procession attended by a sea of devotees, that honors the historic transfer of the revered image from a Recollect church in Intramuros to its current home in Quiapo.
