Taken a decision : once i'm in full marketing mode and what not like with a blue mark, machinegun tweeting and what not...
..I'll give 5 months to x/twitter to proves me it can still be
helpfull (as an marketing/propagation tool)
.. If not, i may stop using it at all. #gamedev
@TIREDnONFIRE All i'm saying personally is AI is not even undergrad level, biased, opinionated, still hallucinating and we'll see a crash around of 2027, https://t.co/Pu1gcg3fyG successfully realized my prediction as the first victim
Voila, my 0.2cts...
@pascalperri@KcTitiju Excusez vous et reconnaissez vos tords au lieu de continuer à vous enfoncer dans le mensonge. Normalement on apprends ça aux enfants à partir de 8-10 ans.
Same guy that fired 500+ people to save money btw and now is promoting AI bullcrap on top of an engine that is truely having a hard time to be optimized for low configs ?
Sorry but fuck @TimSweeneyEpic opinions & hot takes.
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.
Companies running "solid" AI workflows arrive to the first year of "efficiency evaluation", ROI is probably down low for many; i am not saying a bubble crash is soon but saying it's "industry changes" is going to be outlived and investors will need explanation or rentability.
AI news every day is tiresome, especially bc 90% is
low quality BS.
BUT : i'm also so exhausted about "quantum computing" :
- Tech is not even good conceptually
- not even in bare infancy (since as of today, it's mostly not doable; at least on scale & reproducibility).
We fighted the idea of increasing to 300 $ and 500 $ and you think we won't run you down to the ground as promoters of this bullshitry ?
Try us #IndieDevs and #gamedev people. See what happen.
Do you think @Steam raising the game submission fee to $1,000 per game while reducing its revenue cut to 10% would be the best way to combat the flood of AI generated low effort games being released on Steam?
@EricLarch@traderform C'est tué dans l’œuf pour le grand public, au vu du bordel que ça génère au niveau audio ça ira que sur circuits cette histoire et on le sait pertinemment tout les deux.
Raven Errant, medieval loot-hack-slash #indiegame gets a new update on #Steam featuring various fixes, tweaks, and a whole new band of Raiders; The Tuetonic Order!
