Maximum banks have given the option in the HRMS to change or leave bank unions. By 1st October, if #5DaysBanking implementation date is not announced then on 2nd, I am leaving.

“Bankers have no hard skills” is a wild take about people handling credit appraisal, risk, compliance, forex, treasury, audits and financial operations every freaking day.
And “just leave the job” isn’t an argument for bad working conditions. By that logic, labour rights wouldn’t exist anywhere in the world.
Software engineers switching jobs is mobility. Bankers demanding better conditions is collective bargaining.
Different industries, different leverage.
Bro really compared GitHub with a bank ledger and thought he cooked. 😂
Finance advisor bata rahe hai ki 5 days banking se kisi ko problem nahi hogi par vo nalle
jinse Clerk ka exam bhi na nikale
Vo jinke bank account me 100 Rs. balance hai
Unko Saturday ko hi Bank aana hai..

Black Sunday in banking.
She said no. She had a child waiting at home. She was still forced onto Sunday duty in Vashi. She died in a road accident while returning.
No customer asked for this Sunday. Strike-management and ego opened the doors. A life may now sit on that decision — besides the crores this fight is already burning.
Who will stand before that child?
Om Shanti.

Myth: "Bankers want to work less."
Fact: Bankers have agreed to add 40 minutes to EVERY weekday to compensate for Saturdays off.
Total banking hours for the public remain UNCHANGED.
Meanwhile, UPI, ATMs, and Net Banking run 24/7/365 anyway. We aren't asking to work less—just smarter. Support us! 💡📱 #BankersDemand #5DayWeek
Bankers job is infinitely more stressful, critical, and vital than ours. Such inane comments undermining that is absurd.
I don't want a burnt out banker handling our monies. But a 5 day work week isn't the answer. Banks have to figure out a way to have rotational shifts like IT does, to handle a 6 or 7 day week. They have plenty of profit to not do so.
RBI has a 5-day week. Central & State Govts have a 5-day week. IT, Corporate, and International Banks have a 5-day week.
Yet the frontline PSU bank staff who manage your loans, deposits, and government welfare schemes work 10-12 hours daily under high financial risk.
All we ask is basic equality and work-life balance. Stand with us! 🙏 #WorkLifeBalance #EqualRights
I have been supporting bankers here so people are abusing me for being one of them. I am not an employee. Just someone who understands when someone demands work-life balance and 2 days free of stress out of a week. You don't need to be a scholar to get that.
How the weekly 5-day work culture started?
The push for Sunday as a holiday came from Sabbatarian Christians in the US, who believed in keeping a day of religious observance for rest and worship.
Jewish people, however, had Saturdays as their day of Sabbath, leading many businesses to keep both days off, creating the modern “weekend”. Over time, with a more closely integrated global economy, the model spread far and wide.

If someone supports working more than five days a week in any sector, then either they’re unemployed and have never actually worked, or they simply don’t understand how work and productivity really work.
Her (Neha Gupta) husband is in defence so at present no family member is there and children are with neighbours.
This black Sunday ruined a beautiful family forever.

*THE BLACKEST SUNDAY IN THE HISTORY OF INDIAN BANKING*
Today, Sunday, 27 September 2026, will be remembered as a deeply painful and tragic day for the banking fraternity.
Across the country, bank employees were compelled to report for duty on a Sunday, despite it being a weekly holiday and a day declared as a public holiday under the applicable framework. What was sought to be projected as a historic Sunday of banking operations has, in Mumbai, turned into the blackest Sunday for the banking fraternity.
We have lost our colleague, Mrs. Neha Gupta, Scale-II Officer, Regional Office, Vashi, who was working as PA to the Regional Head.
As conveyed to us, Mrs. Gupta had informed the concerned officials that she was unable to attend office today as there was nobody available at home to look after her child. Despite communicating her difficulty, she was reportedly insisted upon to attend office.
She eventually had to leave for home due to an emergency. Tragically, while returning, the auto-rickshaw in which she was travelling met with a serious accident. She succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
A young colleague, a mother, a dedicated officer and a noble soul has been lost.
We cannot bring Mrs. Neha Gupta back. But her tragic death raises a deeply disturbing question: Could this tragedy have been avoided if her genuine request had been accepted and she had not been compelled to report for Sunday duty?
That question must be answered with sensitivity, responsibility and complete transparency.
We do not want to prejudge the facts or assign responsibility without a proper inquiry. But when an employee communicates a genuine family emergency and is nevertheless required to report for duty on a day that was otherwise a weekly/public holiday, the circumstances surrounding such an unfortunate incident deserve a thorough and impartial investigation.
Today, while the banking system was being compelled to remain operational, a banking family lost one of its own.
The significance of this Sunday has changed forever for us.
What was sought to be made a demonstration of keeping banks open has instead become a reminder that behind every branch, every target and every operational instruction are human beings, with families, responsibilities and lives of their own.
We mourn the untimely demise of Com. Neha Gupta.
Our deepest condolences to her family, her child, her colleagues and everyone who knew her.
May her noble soul rest in eternal peace.
OM SHANTI.
NEHA GUPTA — YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN A PART OF OUR BANKING FAMILY.
