@TeslaBoomerMama@farzyness Easy for us married people to say we don't want to be around other people, but cities are still for the young and single. Plus the best restaurants tend to be in cities. Maybe I won't live in one again, but I sure will
@RandyWKirk1 Okay for the companies, spectacular for Elon. "The vote to end all votes".
The question: Does he fall prey to "absolute power corrupts absolutely"?
@DeNguyen73@mikepat711@jared60901160 Not here for the core business anymore
Otherwise I'd had sold when the transition to AI was announced
I stay for the story though: robotaxis, Optimus, data centers, potential SpaceX merger
The only near term catalyst it seems (maybe) is the merger
Everything else is pushed
@mikepat711@jared60901160 I'm pissedโmostly at myself but there were clear goals: "coverage for half the US pop by end of 2025"; rollout to x many cities in the first half of 2026" (and I don't count a few car pilot as a true rollout)
We got played. By his head fake buy and again with comp plan metrics
@muhmuhhh1@NickGibbsIAG Sure. Buyout might be bad wording for the question. I wouldn't sell, but certainly take $500/share with SpaceX current valuation
@muhmuhhh1@NickGibbsIAG Not even close to the same thing. Get to invest in SpaceX without actually having to sell my TSLA. And current valuation ratio isn't that bad if SpaceX stays were it is and premium to $500 for Tesla. Done
@BoBbyPleWniaK If both double the math doesn't change. The real question is the premium and ratio.
Hell, at this point I will for vote just to get a pop in stock and then consider a (temporary?) exit
@RandyWKirk1 Yeah that's like: "let your black employees be late because it's in their nature" diversity training
Seriously ๐
Hold everyone to the same standards
@JOBhakdi Black Mirror Christmas special with Jon Hamm. His character punished with never getting to interact with anyone. Forget the length though
If X progresses to a metaverse type environment, the mute would be crucial and brutal
@RandyWKirk1 Does that include IRAs? Because I just emptied my old 401ks for IRA rollovers and my new 401k is just starting with basically nothing at this point..
@alojoh It's the same argument as ZEV creditsโsure they may go away, but it's real right now. Despite the advantages you state, the sales figures are real
The transition to autonomy may take longer than the bulls expected, but it's happening
Afraid this TSLA "insight" was just a bore
@RandyWKirk1 $500k. $100k isn't enough for a young person to take much risks-probably would only invest in safer assets like real estate/stock market
Better perhaps: a flat tax over a set income. End capital gains/loss except for businesses (not shareholders) so no passthrough stuff
@Patryn23@eddie_g33@nextbigfuture No this is the vote to end all votes. The structure of SpaceX is Elon's preferred shares get last say (change of governance needs a yes vote from those shares in order to be passed, for instance)
Elon will have complete control; I expect him to pay handsomely for that. Demand it
@BoBbyPleWniaK@JOBhakdi Agree. I'm tired of kicking the can. Let's see the terms already. The "only" reason for the merger is Elon's control
Yes, less friction after merged
Find me pissed if Elon pumps Tesla only after merger announcement
FSD happened to be ready then; Optimus finishing touches done
@RandyWKirk1 Always a mix. Do locks stop thieves? Hardly, but they prevent otherwise good people from entering places they aren't supposed to be. The easier the crime, the more it will happen.
Opportunity and motive. Punishment prevents for some, and poverty increases criminality for some.
@dilpawan007@wholemars Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy for a tax-free diversification into SpaceX, but whether I trust Elon or not, I want to be paid for my relinquished vote with SpaceX share structure. That alone warrants a premium for Tesla.
@wholemars No the assumption is TSLA, without SpaceX dilution, appreciates faster because the revaluation from transitioning from cars to AI hasn't occurred.
Maybe SpaceX revenue increases at the same pace but if not, it would be a drag on share price. At this point Tesla is a when not if.
@pulkitonline@BoBbyPleWniaK Everyone has their own goals. Bobby is retired & made his nut. He's about capital preservation & income. I listen to him because when I retire, I'll trade similarly because I won't be counting on a 5x or 10x anymore. If you're still looking for that, don't follow his strategy
