The CAC is a child friendly setting where a coordinated response to child abuse allegations may be pursued in a way that supports children and their families.
☀️ Summer should be filled with fun, laughter, and safe adventures. It’s a great time to review your family safety plans and modify them for any needed changes. 💙
The CAC had a wonderful time at the PCSO Meet the Fleet event!
A special thanks to Sheriff Hess, Undersheriff Menton, Captain Pitt, all of the deputies, investigators, and the incredible cadets who assisted our CAC staff throughout the event. 💙
💙 Safety starts with awareness.
One of the safety rules we teach kids is ‘Know What’s Up’—paying attention to situations, behaviors, and online interactions that don’t feel right. Knowledge is a powerful tool for prevention.

Every pinwheel represents a brighter future 💙 Thank you to the Putnam Valley School District for partnering with the CAC this Child Abuse Prevention Month and helping us spread awareness through Pinwheels for Prevention. Your support matters!
💙 Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to take action to protect children in our communities.
Prevention starts with education. Our CAC visits schools to teach how to recognize and report abuse.
Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and protected!
💙 Students at Mahopac Middle School joined the CAC in the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign. The message continued at Mahopac High School, where pinwheels were also planted and where a CAC representative attended the Career and Services Fair.
Grateful for the support from Carmel Schools in joining the CAC for the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign 💙
Each pinwheel planted is a symbol of a shared commitment to creating safe childhoods for all. Thank you to the students and staff!
A heartfelt thank you to the Brewster Central School District for standing with the Child Advocacy Center of Putnam County in support of the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign 💙
By planting pinwheels across all their schools, they’re helping raise awareness!
Today, staff from the Child Advocacy Center of Putnam County and partnering Putnam County departments wore blue in recognition of NYS’s Wear Blue Day—standing together to raise awareness and show support for children and families in our community.
Also, look out for pinwheels!
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, dedicated to raising awareness and fostering community collaboration to prevent child abuse and neglect. Blue pinwheels are the national symbol for Childs prevention, representing a healthy, happy, and safe childhood.

When someone you care about is struggling with suicidal thoughts or has attempted suicide, it can be hard to know how to help. You don’t have to figure it out alone💙
Protecting lives is something we can all support. Sign to back safety barriers on New York State bridges—because suicide from bridges is preventable and barriers save lives.
