Despite NHAI's beautification drive along Bengaluru-Tumakuru highway, unauthorised posters, stickers & banners continue to deface public assets but enforcement authorities seemingly turning a blind eye.
NHAI had also flagged illegal hoardings along NH-44, NH-48 & NH-75 to GBA & Bengaluru Rural DC, citing safety violations. It sought their removal and penal action, warning of risks to commuters. However, no action appears to have been taken so far.

Dear @BMTC_BENGALURU I am travelling on the KIA-8 bus from T1 Airport, and the condition is shocking. The AC is not working, the bus is making loud noises, and even the metal poles inside are rattling. It felt like travelling in a poorly maintained, unsafe,
Seems waiting for auspicious day!Isn’t ‘NAVARATHRI’ season very auspicious?

It’s a perennial problem; most part of the city are like that only. Why can’t @GBA_office find a permanent solution? Capital city is no longer the Silicon Valley; it can rightly be called ‘Submersion Vally’ of India!
Elon Musk is busy building flying cars, while Brand Bengaluru is turning cars into submarines! 🚗🌊🤦♂️
📍Panathur Underpass: Road or swimming pool?
A simple question to the authorities: @GBA_office@GBAChiefComm@ICCCBengaluru@osd_cmkarnataka@halairporttrfps
By when will this water be cleared and the underpass restored to a genuinely drivable condition? Residents need roads, not water sports and monsoon-made aquariums!

🎥 Glimpses of the Progress Review Meeting
A review meeting on development and infrastructure works across Bengaluru Central City Corporation, chaired by Commissioner Shri Jagadeesh G., to review progress and strengthen civic infrastructure for a better Bengaluru.

There r many such places that don’t have bus shelters.Ex:Both sides of busy Nayandahalli Signal, where commuters have2wait inhaling bad odour emanating frm d adjacent stormwater drain.Have been flagging this,but2no avail. @krishnabgowda@byrathi_suresh@GBA_office@BMTC_BENGALURU
A 90-year-old residential layout in Sunkenahalli, Bengaluru, and residents are STILL forced to demand something as basic as a proper bus stop at Ganesh Bhavan. How can a city that claims to be progressing continue to neglect such fundamental public infrastructure?
Two reels documenting the same issue. Residents speaking out. Students, senior citizens and daily commuters depending on public transport. Yet, a proper bus stop remains absent. This is not a minor inconvenience; it is a failure to provide basic civic amenities to a long-established residential neighbourhood.
Passengers should not have to stand on busy roads, struggle to board buses in unsafe conditions or wonder where they are supposed to wait for public transport. Elderly passengers deserve dignity and safety. Students deserve reliable access to public transport. Every commuter deserves a properly designated bus stop.
What makes this even more unacceptable is that residents are now having to use social media to bring attention to a demand that should have been addressed through basic civic planning in the first place.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) must take responsibility for providing the necessary bus stop infrastructure. This cannot be brushed aside as somebody else's problem or left pending indefinitely. Coordination with BMTC, wherever required, must happen without passing the burden between authorities.
@GBA_Bengaluru, how long must residents wait? Does a neighbourhood have to repeatedly go viral before its basic civic needs receive attention?
We demand immediate action to establish a proper bus stop at Ganesh Bhavan, Sunkenahalli. Residents deserve answers, accountability and action—not further neglect.

Progress is welcome 👏, but 25 of 61 school routes still arriving late is not a success story; it is 25 groups of children still paying the price.
A 10-km journey taking ~50 minutes during school hours is not normal mobility, it is time stolen from children’s sleep, learning, play and family life.
Enforcement has shown that improvement is possible. Now the question is: why stop at partial relief when the objective should be zero avoidable delays for schoolchildren?
Keep the restrictions, fix the bottlenecks, and sustain enforcement, not just for three good days, but every school day. Children cannot be the variable in Bengaluru’s traffic equation.

Gov’s priority’s rich ppl who own cars& able2pay toll, not d commoners. @BMTC_BENGALURU runs AC buses2Bidadi,Kanakapura, Kunigal, etc, instead of increasing regular buses which helps general public who can’t afford vehicles,2 compensate d loss it’s incurring by women’s free travel!
