Whitemud Watershed District is hosting the 2026 MAW Tour this week and PVWD board and staff members jumped on the tour bus! It's always interesting to see the challenges other WDs face and the solutions they come up with to get projects complete!
Our annual June and July sub-district meetings give board members a chance to tour some of the current and past projects in each area. Thank-you to our local producers for taking time out of your day to show us some "on the ground" projects in action!
Wednesday June 24th is the final date for our 2026 well water testing program! Pick-up and drop-off your sample containers at our partner locations to take advantage of the free shipping!
A big THANK-YOU to the Pembina-Manitou Area Foundation for the financial assistance we received to rebuild the west loop dock out at Binney Nature Preserve! @Pemb

Friendly reminder to pick-up your sample bottles at one of our participating drop-off locations! The province recommends testing well water at least once per year for bacteria and every 3-5 years for nutrients and chemicals. The first water testing date is Wednesday June 10/26!
Water testing days are coming up! Mark your calendars for Wed. June 10th and Wed. June 24th! Pick your sample bottles up at our participating drop-off locations and Watershed District staff will deliver them to the lab on June 10th and 24th!
It was amazing to see local youth engaging in environmental competition at the 2026 South Regional Envirothon yesterday! Hats off to Redboine Watershed District & Manitoba Association of Watersheds for hosting the event and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.
Did you know that PVWD sealed 15 wells in 2025? Properly sealing abandoned wells helps prevent groundwater contamination, protect ecosystems and greatly reduces the physical hazard to humans and animals.
PVWD proudly announces Seymour Farms Ltd. as our 2026 Conservation Award Recipient! They believe "healthy land provides healthy food," and base management decisions on long-term soil health, environmental protection, and water conservation in mind.
The Guilford Hereford Ranch stands as a testament to how thoughtful land management and active community involvement can lead to successful agriculture while protecting the environment for future generations.
