Dear tweeps, having a wee break from Twitter, I'm sure you'll manage fine without me.
On my return I will prune the number of you wonderful folk I follow: you're good people but I am struggling to pay decent attention to the good things you say/wish me to read. #readtheevidence

First rasps of the year following this week's downpour + sun: feels great to return to #NWEdinburgh cave knowing the family have been provided for. Time for some firewatching as per @41ElaineS [apologies to @edwardmonkton]
Would like to read some evidence on the effectiveness of #restorativejustice for all stakeholders please. Can someone point me towards some British work on this please, thank you.

#OTD in 1867, after a meeting of the Parochial Board of St Cuthbert’s, permission was given to erect a Poorhouse for the Parish. This became Craigleith Poorhouse, which later became Craigleith Military Hospital, and in 1932 became the Western General Hospital!
Everyone in our society should have a decent and affordable place they can call home. But our consistent failure to build new social housing has locked people out of our housing market. Its time to put this right! Great piece by @tnewtondunn in @TheSun today.
And because #KidsCantWait, we're in Glasgow this morning with @jrf_uk#TalkingAboutPoverty. Building the collective will to solve poverty needs us to think about it in a different way - that it's here, it's now, it's not the fault of many individuals and that it CAN be changed.

"We're custodians of this place for the generations to come" - we want to know what you think of our bold #CityCentreTransformation proposals. Have a look and let us know what you think - it's the last week to have your say: https://t.co/o2uq63ISse
“And yes, I know we need a system change rather than individual change.
But you can not have one without the other.”
