@TheBaylorHomer@normanau@WazzCrypto If you got a PDT restriction at IBKR, you could move to robinhood. PDT at robinhood? Move to Schwab, etc. etc. that’s how the rule worked. 90 day restriction per brokerage account. Not per person
@normanau@WazzCrypto PDT rule was still incredibly dumb. It was also brokerage specific, not person specific. So anyone hit with a PDT could just continue on another brokerage
@HunterBiden@Kenneth_Belkin You're not too far removed. You were able to transfer into YLS. Those transfer spots are reserved for the extremely well connected. Unlike HLS that lets in ~100 transfers, typically students that are top of their class at lower ranked schools. Maybe you were top at GULC who knows
@TheSpeculator0 This is the new future for most competitive industries. In law, I got a 1L offer with one semester of grades that led to 2L offer -> full time. 2.5 semesters of law school were basically pointless for me
@PhoneInvestor@buffetsalpha@P_Remarks Retail can’t even invest pre IPO I can assure you that doesn’t matter. Typical musk where retail rakes it in and institutional investors get clobbered. I would tread with caution
@trvsrdrgz2@DissidentMedia@elaadeliahu@Bitlink8 If you buy a used Rolex it’s very unlikely to depreciate substantially, if at all. Not a bad idea to have a high value physical asset on hand that’s easily exchangeable. If shit ever hits the fan and you need a ride south of Mexico, this watch would get you there
@FICMBondTrader@manlio0914@WealthNationsAS It’s ridiculous how many people would vanish come exam day because they are in a room with 50% extra time or 100% extra time.
Extra time on the bar exam too.
I have a friend that was scoring 166 on the LSAT then got accommodations for 50% more time and pulled a 177
@manlio0914@WealthNationsAS@FICMBondTrader There’s little correlation between LSAT and school performance/job performance above a certain score.
I have a friend that got literally top #1 at USC with a 169
Other friend with a perfect 180 at Berkeley who graduated slightly above median
@Abbysmilkers421@HalcyonHypnotic@The_Rad_Dawg@shan70@downbadcomment Not for unsubsidized student loans. For subsidized yes, and that’s only if your parents claim you as a dependent.
Which if you’re paying 100% of school cost why would you let your parents claim you as a dependent? In college I just filed my own taxes early as hell to deny mine
@HalcyonHypnotic@The_Rad_Dawg@shan70@downbadcomment This is not true at all. There’s not even a credit check for federal student loans. Why the hell would they require a consigner when credit isn’t even relevant?
@financedystop No one who is actually making it and enjoying life will feel the need to spend their (little) free time on gloating about how much they’re making it online.
@JimChuong T20 not M7 gg. Same way there’s 198 ABA law schools but only about ~40 of them are worth it (and that’s being generous).
Guy should have known when he wasn’t 95%+ percentile on the GMAT he was cooked. Same with LSAT people
@aaronsibarium ABA Standard 303(c):
A law school shall provide education to law students on bias, cross-cultural competency, and racism:
(1) at the start of the program of legal education, and
(2) at least once again before graduation.
If only it was just Penn State that required this…
@VonGoghTrades@YourDuden3ss@fudreaper_ Great you found the TN statute…
Relevant local rules for Montgomery county TN:
sec 309(B): “All other persons legally authorized to carry firearms must check all firearms with the court bailiff or with the nearest office of the Sheriff, while the person is in the courtroom.”
