I live near two churches, and every so often the church bells ring.

Does that mean Christianity is being forced on me? Of course not.

In fact, I quite like hearing them. They remind me that there's something greater than our day-to-day lives and ourselves.

That's why I find the outrage over the Adhan so strange. Simply hearing a call to prayer isn't the same as having a religion imposed on you.
