After publishing its first assessment in June 2021 and hosting its first workshop in Feb. 2022, the Q4Climate team is now working on updating the assessment and hosting specific in-depth workshops. We’ll also start sharing relevant scientific articles. Stay tuned!⚡️
BTW: We're currently looking for domain specific conferences related to climate change which could host a workshop on the prospect of quantum technologies in their field. Ideas are welcome! 😀
What might the world's energy system look like in some decades from now?
This new major paper by Rupert Way, @Mat_Ives, @PennyMealy and Doyne Farmer makes me optimistic about what we can possibly achieve.
Interesting throughout and open-access:

“I think the timeline in which quantum computing needs to become useful in order to actually help us solve energy & climate-related problems in time, is 10 years (plus/minus 3 years). If it takes longer, we probably won’t be able to reap the benefits in time.” @dan_kammen
