Following my Day One Executive Order, the Office of Personnel Management will be issuing new Civil Service Regulations for career government employees. Moving forward, career government employees, working on policy matters, will be classified as “Schedule Policy/Career,” and will be held to the highest standards of conduct and performance. If these government workers refuse to advance the policy interests of the President, or are engaging in corrupt behavior, they should no longer have a job. This is common sense, and will allow the federal government to finally be “run like a business.” We must root out corruption and implement accountability in our Federal Workforce!

Зараз у Харкові ще тривають роботи після удару російських ракет. Попередньо це були крилаті ракети – «іскандери». Одна з ракет розірвалась у повітрі просто над спальним районом, інша влучила по території підприємства поруч із житловою забудовою.

В результаті удару пошкоджені звичайні житлові будинки, багато постраждалих – більше сотні людей. Усім надається допомога. ��бсолютно різні люди: хтось старшого віку, хтось зовсім молодий. Усі просто живуть своїм життям у власній країні, у своєму місті, і це робить їх мішенню для Росії – для російських ракет.

Треба бути відвертою сволотою та зневажати життя, щоб завдавати таких ракетних ударів по звичайному місту – у Страсну пʼятницю, напередодні Великодня. І коли ми звертаємось до партнерів, передусім до Сполучених Штатів, по системи «Петріот» і ракети до них, які можуть захистити від цього російського зла – від крилатих ракет, від балістики, – ми звертаємось по захист, на я��ий заслуговує кожен народ.

І не має бути такого, що якийсь народ заслуговує на допомогу більше, а якийсь – менше. І це по-християнськи – допомогти. Особливо коли є така можливість – допомогти. І не має бути такого, що якийсь терорист чомусь може уникати наслідків, хоча так само знищує життя, як і інший. Росія заслуговує щонайменше на жорсткі санкції, які є відплатою за все те, що вона робить.

Сьогодні ми розширили наші українські санкції ще на майже сотню субʼєктів – фізичних та юридичних осіб, більшість із яких залучена до виробництва в тому числі таких ракет – «іскандерів», – як ті, що вдарили по нашому Харкову. Багато із цих субʼєктів російські, але також є, на жаль, з Китаю.

Ми будем�� працювати з партнерами й надалі, щоб наші санкції були синхронізовані. Кожен, хто працює на вбивства та затягування війни, має за це відповідати. І я дякую всім у світі, хто підтримує таку позицію.

Emergency response operations are still underway in Kharkiv following the Russian missile strike. Preliminary reports indicate they were cruise missiles—Iskanders. One of the missiles detonated in mid-air over a residential neighborhood; another struck an industrial site near a housing area.

As a result of the strike, ordinary apartment buildings were damaged, and many people were injured—over a hundred. Everyone is receiving assistance. These are completely different people—some elderly, some very young. All they were doing was living their lives in their own country, in their own city — and that alone makes them targets for Russia and its missiles.

One must be an outright scumbag and despise life to carry out such missile strikes on an ordinary city on Good Friday, the eve of Easter. And when we appeal to our partners—primarily the United States—for Patriot systems and missiles for them that can protect against this Russian evil—against cruise missiles and ballistic threats—we are asking for the kind of protection every nation deserves.

There must never be a situation where one nation is deemed more deserving of assistance than another. Besides, helping is the Christian thing to do. Especially when there is a real opportunity to help. And there must never be a situation where one terrorist can somehow escape consequences, even though they destroy lives just as others do. Russia deserves at the very least severe sanctions as retribution for all it is doing.

Today, we have expanded our Ukrainian sanctions against nearly a hundred more entities—natural and legal persons—most of whom are involved in the production of such missiles—Iskanders—like those that struck our Kharkiv. Many of these entities are Russian, but unfortunately, some are also from China.

We will continue working with our partners to ensure that our sanctions are coordinated—everyone who contributes to the killing and prolonging the war must be held accountable. I am grateful to everyone around the world who supports this position.

This is the hand of the man that the Democrats feel should be brought back to the United States, because he is such “a fine and innocent person.” They said he is not a member of MS-13, even though he’s got MS-13 tattooed onto his knuckles, and two Highly Respected Courts found that he was a member of MS-13, beat up his wife, etc. I was elected to take bad people out of the United States, among other things. Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable. Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 Countries have called Representatives of the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR, to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non Monetary Tariffs, and that these Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States, I have authorized a 90 day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately. I had a good and honest conversation with the President of Finland @AlexStubb.

We discussed many issues, including preparations for our next joint steps and our response to possible Russian provocations in the near future.

I informed about the battlefield situation and our need for air defense systems. We will achieve a just and sustainable peace when Ukraine receives strong support packages, and Russia faces strong sanctions in response to further dragging this war on.

We also focused on our relations with the United States and the American proposal for an unconditional ceasefire — a proposal to which Russia has been saying “no” for 36 days. Only principled actions can turn such disregard for diplomacy into a path toward peace.

Thank you, Alexander, for your support, your advice, and your readiness to do everything possible to achieve a dignified peace.
