On Wednesday we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back @Project_Zulu to QEH for the day, having had them before to visit back in 2015.
They ran workshops in the morning, performed to our year 7-10s then enjoyed afternoon lessons.
What a treat having them visit us again!
Year 7s have enjoyed learning some African drumming and singing in preparation for the @Project_Zulu visit after half term. As the weather has been so nice we thought we’d take our lesson outside! @QEHSchool
Wishing all the A Level Music and Music Tech students and GCSE Music students the very best of luck in your upcoming exams!
What a pleasure it has been teaching you all. You’re such a talented bunch! 🎵 🎶

A Huge Congratulations to Ian for achieving a distinction in his ATCL Diploma on Piano. This is an incredible achievement which, along with being crowned the Senior Musician of the Year last term, makes for a fairytale ending to his musical journey here at QEH. @QEHSchool
We’re very excited to be welcoming the @Project_Zulu Choir to @QEHSchool in June.
The year 7 students have all started learning African songs in preparation for their arrival!
See you all soon!!
Our music scholars enjoyed a fantastic lunchtime recital given by international soloists Armand Djikoloum (oboe) and Iyad Sughayer (piano) followed by a piano masterclass for four of our students. All students did themselves extremely proud and Iyad was impressed by the standard.
Congratulations to Georgia, Cajsa, Jacob, Meghan and Imogen on receiving their senior music colours for outstanding contribution to extracurricular music.
Well done all - and thank you!!
