@Refugees also urges @GovtofPakistan to ensure Afghans with reasons to remain in Pakistan (i.e. higher education, marriage to Pakistanis and medical concerns…) can do so, and crucially that those with continued international protection needs are exempted from the IFRP.
Disappointed to see the decision of @GovtofPakistan to return Afghan refugees. At a minimum, @Refugees urges @GovtofPakistan to ensure POR cardholders are given a decent time frame to arrange their return in dignity and can take their belongings.
In spite of large-scale returns to Afghanistan, @UNHCR trusts that #Pakistan will continue to uphold its longstanding role as a steward of refugee protection in particular for vulnerable groups and registered refugees.
