Today we formally launch Kelvin-2, the high-performance computer, based at Queen's and used for accelerating simulation in key research both here and at Ulster University. It offers a staggering 10,000 CPU cores and GPU capability.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Baroness May Blood, an esteemed honorary graduate of @QUBelfast whose portrait hangs in the Great Hall.
She made an outstanding contribution to peace, education, equality and reconciliation.
