Muslims will scan the skies tonight in search of the new moon, marking the end of Ramadan.

If the crescent moon is sighted, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow. If not, Eid will fall on Saturday.

However, chances of sighting the moon in Southern Africa appear slim.

Several countries in the Middle East will celebrate Eid tomorrow (Friday).
