I’m pleased to have arrived in the People’s Republic of China. Today, I visited the ADB-supported Dafeng Milu Deer National Nature Reserve in Jiangsu Province.

Held productive discussions with a delegation of @ADB_HQ led by Qingfeng Zhang (QZ), Senior Sector Director, AFNR ADB, HQ and Mio Oka (MO), Country Director, India Resident Mission, ADB India.
The team presented their views on agriculture, food, nature and rural development opportunities in Assam and appreciated Assam's innovative approaches in various field.
Further discussions were held on
👉Exploring collaboration in sectors such as bamboo, small tea growers, eco-tourism, focus on District Domestic Products (DDPs) etc.
👉Development of the Fishery sector through beel conservation and management.
👉Establishing eco-industrial parks in low lying areas and wetland preservation.
👉Organising a capacity building workshop for forest officers.
Detailed deliberations were also held on other key areas.
