I love this. Isn’t that the conundrum for ppl with chronic illness and intractable pain? When I read other ppl sharing their experiences and diagnoses, I feel so sad for them. But if I write @ me, it just sounds like I am whining or wanting attention.

And ugh, I want neither.

@Michael68815911 @JoeAllenNewman So awful. Can you imagine do that to someone with CPP/IPP? Well there are places that do that now for that. It is the AA model for CPP.

It is horrible.

And as we also know intractable pain is a systemic disease causing cardiovascular, endocrine, neurological, immune but 3/4

This is awful, what Joe went through losing his best friend. I can rly relate losing mine, Katie, 2 yrs ago to lupus and brain cancer. Her family wld take her pain meds away but even if she did have an addiction that was wrong. She was in so much pain!

@Icreatedmyself9 Thankfully I have not lost my wife yet because I am determined that she will not suffer due to the present day #PROPaganda based palliative care, but I did lose my best friend and Brother to needless suffering which should never happen. I will never forgive that.

@Michael68815911 @JoeAllenNewman Addiction is a brain disorder that is currently still so stigmatized by society, doctors, family that there are shows where they basically torture the person mentally and force them into treatment. By saying I won’t be there for you anymore I won’t love you I won’t.

I also just want incest and sexual abuse to be seen as an epidemic bc 1/4 girls and 1/6 boys by are sexually abused by age 18! So can we switch the fake opiate epidemic with that real one pls? Well y know what drives me nuts is when even my dentist etc quotes studies saying that Tylenol and ibuprofen are just as effective for pain. I’m like did you know there were only 44 ppl in that study!
