Unity has released a new AI tool called Unity AI to help game developers create games much faster.
The tool works directly inside the Unity game engine as a smart assistant that understands your entire project and supports many parts of development.
Developers can use it to generate game assets such as sprites, textures, animations, and sounds. It can also write code, fix errors, automate boring tasks, and turn simple ideas into playable game elements very quickly.
Unity says this tool makes creating games easier and lowers the barrier for new developers while being especially useful for prototyping new ideas and speeding up production.

Unity has announced expanded official support for Steam platforms, shared during GDC 2026.
This includes full native Linux builds, dedicated optimizations for the Steam Deck, improved support for the upcoming Steam Machine, and built-in Steamworks integration through Unity's Platform Toolkit.
In the past, developers often had to set up Steam features manually.
Unity noted that while Proton performs well on the Steam Deck, native Linux versions will offer better performance and stability. Additional Linux-specific updates are already planned.
