Hadn’t heard about Tara Prasad’s accomplishments till a friend recently sent me this clip.
Apparently Tara switched her U.S citizenship to an Indian one in 2019 and has since been our national skating champ three times.
Well done, Tara. I hope you are in the vanguard of athletes who give India a noticeable presence in winter sports.
I know you narrowly missed out on a spot in the last Winter Olympics but have your sights set on the games in ‘26.
We’ll all be rooting for you….Go chase that dream…
Only 17 cos in the entire listed universe have grown their profits every year for the last 10 yrs. If you look at 20 yrs, only 1 company has done it. There's no alternative to having a portfolio (multiple bets) - you don't know what will work. Interesting study by @devinamehra
It’s been three years since I was last at #AWSreInvent and excited to be back.
Am going to try doing a few low-key videos this week on recapping what I’m excited about and what we’re hearing from customers. Will start this series with a little reminiscing about the origin of AWS re:Invent.
Intend to share some thoughts on some launches tomorrow.
The coolest people I know:

3 show up on time
4 lifelong students
5 listen with interest

7 random acts of kindness
8 mentor
9 give without expecting a get
10 holding doors open
11 graceful truth tellers
Recently I was in coorg for 4 days and my @UltrahumanHQ tracker showed my resting heart rate improvement by 4-5 BPM. Pollution in mumbai and other cities in India has some serious long term health effects. This is sad :(
The bosses we remember and admire:
1 told us our work mattered
2 opened career doors
3 defended us when we needed it
4 recognized and rewarded us
5 developed us as leaders
6 inspired us to stretch higher
7 led by example
8 provided us a safe space to grow
9 forgave us when we made mistakes
10 appreciated high rate of learning
11 challenged assumptions starting with their own
12 were player coaches - skin in the game
13 apologized when they made mistakes
14 sponsored our work (career pathing)
15 led us by questions not answers (taught us how to think, not what to think)
16 in a celebration led from the back, in a crisis led from the front, in the presence of a better plan, followed side-to-side
17 proactively asked for feedback
18 allowed the best ideas to win, not the best titles
19 showed up on time, left when it made sense to leave
20 did not speak poorly behind others back
The three things that happen every year in Delhi are:
A/. Kejriwal whines
B/. Delhi gets flooded
C/. AQI gets miserable
But then we have TV anchors to thank. For highlighting this every year. Since the Government is mostly in prison.
