Huge amounts of water being held back at a very recent restoration site, re-wetting an area of degrading peatland dominated by bracken and brambles on Bodmin Moor
Out at Tavy Head - our largest and most remote site yet - work recently stopped in one particular erosion gully. UXO surveyors who scan Dartmoor sites and who had been briefed on the possibility of archaeological finds, noticed a straight edged block of granite at channel bed.

In the species reassessment released today by @IUCNRedList the main UK populations of Atlantic salmon are reclassified as endangered - meaning they are threatened with extinction. Global populations are reclassified from least concern to near threatened.
