@odogwusport If Carrick came out now and said he wasn’t happy with the transfer business, he’d be doing himself a favour. But if he keeps saying he’s happy with the squad, then when the results turn sour, they’ll still sack him. It seems like he doesn’t care he’s just happy to be the manager.
@UtdTessy The problem with being a yes man is that it gets you nowhere. They still won’t give you what you need, and they’ll sack you anyway when the results turn sour. At least be honest from the start, so when they do sack you, everyone knows they never gave you the tools to succeed.
@Utdtruthful@B_Fernandes8 That’s the problem with United. There’s Bruno FC, Mainoo FC, and Rashford FC. None of that should matter. Performance and winning trophies should be the standard. If these players are as good and elite as people claim, why aren’t they at least competing for the biggest trophies?
@theMadridZone@FabrizioRomano You think this brother is leaving Madrid, where he plays alongside Bellingham and Valverde, to come here and spend his time covering ground for Mainoo in midfield? No top player is signing up for that, let alone reducing his wages
@EliotFowle Carrick has just come out and said he’s happy with the squad and believes we can compete next season. That alone tells you everything. He might be the worst thing to happen to United in a very long time
@spencermorgan93 So they won’t let England play Argentina because they know that if they cheat, it would cause unimaginable outrage. Instead, they’ll let Norway go through rather than England.
@LSeffz I’m asking myself the same question. We’re not challenging for the Champions League or the Premier League anytime soon, yet people genuinely believe he’ll choose to join us.
@UtdActive What did you genuinely want Martinez to do? Teach those guys how to pass the ball forward or how to show some heart when playing for their country? If you watched the game, it looked like they were trying to sabotage the team. Bruno, Neves, and Vitinha were all guilty of it.
@UtdMicah United aren’t contenders for the League/UCL, or even a top-four next season, yet some fans think a Madrid player who’s starting for France at the WC will choose to join United, take a pay cut, and Madrid to lower the transfer fee, to come play with Mainoo. It’s genuinely funny.
@RizH0803 I can tell you now, if Mainoo doesn’t get his house in order, he’ll be the same way a talented player who was overhyped by the fans and not given enough time to develop away from the pressure of starting for United every week. People forget that young players need time to grow
@CloudyREDS You really can’t be a United fan who cares about the team winning or challenging next season and think a Mainoo–Santos midfield is enough. We need better players than that. That’s a poor midfield, and half the league has a better one.
@NinetayFour@Mike_RMCF That’s just bullshit. Even at 41, when Ronaldo got the ball, he was converting chances and making runs. Meanwhile, Bruno spent the whole tournament passing backwards, missing chances, and couldn’t even be bothered to track back, yet you all want to blame CR7 and Martinez.
@CryptoVarane We could try going for Wharton or Bruno G. I think they’re the only quality midfielders left, but the headless people in charge won’t even try. It’s like they don’t realize we actually need midfielders
@Nuel006 You say that, but if you actually watched the games, you’d realize Ronaldo wasn’t even one of their problems. When you have players like Bruno who pass backwards instead of playing the ball forward and miss open goals, what do you expect?
@Ellis_ You’d blame everyone except the actual player on the pitch. He turned himself into a ghost. He was back-passing everything is that on Martinez too? If you need a manager to tell you how to play in a World Cup, then something is seriously wrong with you.
@TheImmortalKop If you watch how he’s played throughout this World Cup, it genuinely looks like he’s been sabotaging the team. His performances have been so poor that it’s hard to believe he was doing everything he could to help them win.
@ELTRAINVICTOR The only club where fans constantly obsess over wages is United. They’re always mourning and debating salaries as if the money is coming out of their own pockets. You don’t see this level of fixation at other clubs. It’s genuinely embarrassing
@adewale6567 I swear some United fans are funny . We couldn’t sign Tonali/Fernandes, yet think we can sign Tchouaméni from Madrid a midfielder who starts for France at the WC and has a higher fee and wage, the very things fans constantly mourn about. At this point, we deserve our suffering
@Cantonadevils This guy has talent, but right now he’s a pretty basic player. The fact that a manager who’s won trophies and managed world-class players keeps overlooking him should tell you something. He needs to improve quickly because Carrick won’t be at United forever
@Meky_worldwide It’s no coincidence that United haven’t won anything in years, and they’re not likely to anytime soon. The squad has too many average players, but the bigger problem is the fanbase constantly overrating them and convincing themselves they’re better than they actually are.
