I keep reading this “voice for the voiceless” idea across my socials. I cannot stop thinking about it and what it implies. Everyone has a voice— some need access or for people to be better listeners, but we are not voiceless (only silenced).
There’s a difference.
@QuasiInsightful Talking about ending the narrative of the difficult parents and their inspirational children. Waiting lists have to get shorter...we need to work together before another child is burned as they are waiting for help. Literally have tears in my eyes. Yes.
Can we please prioritise listening to students and not getting defensive in the process? If they are experiencing harm, trying to prove how much you are doing behind the scenes just doesn’t matter. It’s not working if harm is still happening. Affirm them and continue to do better
“Early intervention does not cope with waiting lists” 👏-Miguel Valles at #ZeroCon24 on Portugal’s national rapid access program for early childhood intervention for additional needs. Indeed, no intervention need copes well with waiting lists when children need #inclusion#access

IB/AP teachers: if you feel pressure to make all assessments look like an IB/AP final, you can let go of that and assess in better ways. The NACAC's 2023 report shows that IB/AP scores are among the LEAST important factors in admissions. #TeachersOfTwitter https://t.co/flkBvejzZI
