@edu_hagos30@AbrarSuleiman It is factual report, if you don't believe it Go to Washington Dc, last i met him 3 years ago , and look for him and I dont even know why you doubt it unless you don't know the battle of Adowa!
A fair and rational view of Teddy Afro’s album should not be reduced to ethnic loyalty or political emotion. People, including Oromos and non-Oromos, have every right to support, criticize, or question the album based on its message, artistic value, and historical interpretation.
At the same time, the discussion should also raise a legitimate question about the role of artists during national suffering. When ordinary people, including Oromos, Amharas, Tigrayans, and others, face violence, displacement, imprisonment, and political repression, artists should not become silent spectators or servants of power. Their responsibility is not to flatter leaders, but to reflect the truth and conscience of society.
The assassination of Hachalu Hundessa remains one of the most consequential moments in Ethiopia’s recent history. It should remind all artists, especially those with public influence, that art carries moral responsibility. Music is not only entertainment. It can also be memory, resistance, healing, and accountability.
Therefore, criticism should not be about ethnicity. It should be about principle. Any artist, Oromo or otherwise, who chooses political comfort over truth should be questioned. Any listener who reacts to Teddy’s album only through ethnic suspicion should also be challenged.
The real issue is not Oromo versus Teddy, or one community versus another. The real issue is whether Ethiopian artists are willing to stand with ordinary people when power becomes abusive.

🚨 URGENT: Escalating Crackdown Linked to Teddy Afro 🚨
Serious and deeply troubling reports are emerging from Ethiopia involving individuals closely associated with internationally recognized artist Teddy Afro. According to multiple accounts, a close associate has reportedly been arrested, while his deputy manager has also been taken into custody. In addition, security forces allegedly attempted a late night operation at his residence in an effort to detain another associate, DJ Wish, reportedly arriving without a warrant and leaving only after being denied entry.
In a further alarming development, the “Abugida” music studio in the CMC area has reportedly been forcibly broken into, with equipment and property allegedly seized.
Taken together, these incidents do not appear isolated. Rather, they suggest a troubling pattern of intimidation and targeting of individuals connected to a prominent cultural figure.
These reports raise serious concerns about potential abuse of power, lack of due process, and threats to artistic freedom and freedom of expression.
At a time like this, transparency and accountability are critical. The international community, human rights organizations, and media outlets are urged to closely monitor the situation and seek verified information.
Respect for fundamental rights including freedom of expression and protection from unlawful detention must remain non negotiable. Silence in the face of such actions risks enabling further escalation.

.@teddyafromuzika announces his new album Etorika — but a planned press conference in Addis Ababa was abruptly cancelled after intervention from @EthMediaAuth.
For many, it raises renewed concerns about freedom of expression in Ethiopia.
Despite this, anticipation for the album remains high.
Abiy Ahmed’s ethno-fascism regime has unjustly imprisoned political opponents, journalists, clergy members, social media influencers, & ordinary citizens. This is an effort to stifle dissent & hide the regime's lack of public support. Countless innocent civilians currently remain imprisoned without due process simply for speaking out against the relentless cycle of death & destruction inflicted the regime.
We call for the immediate & unconditional release of all political prisoners. @amnesty@pressfreedom@pen_int@freedomhouse@fidh_en
Starvation and the weaponization of food have become instruments of state terror in #Ethiopia. The ethno-fascist Abiy regime's inhuman cruelty continues unabated. Innocent #AmharaGenocide survivors are dying of hunger in IDP camps. @StateDept@UNGeneva@EU_Commission@SecRubio
Today, people in various towns across the Amhara region staged protests against the government. The fact that citizens dared to rally in an area ravaged by active civil war and effectively governed under martial law speaks to the depth of their grievances and determination. Many of the slogans denounced the planned election, with one of the most common reading: “We will not enthrone our killers in the name of an election.”
A couple of takeaways:
https://t.co/WWUqiHx5wS the Amhara region, the anti-government movement is not limited to so-called “fringe elements” engaged in armed struggle, as the government claims. Rather, it reflects a broader and deeper resentment among the general population.
2.The Fano insurgents’ call to reject the election appears to have significant popular support, making it increasingly impractical to conduct even a nominal or symbolic vote.
