The wall of hearts at @QueensCovid Remembrance Day. From the heart of my district in the Forest Park Bandshell, we had a moving day honoring those we lost. They are always in our minds, forever in our hearts. We remember them in everything we do.

Thank you all who came to the Bandshell yesterday, to the over 2000 people who watched our livestreams and everyone who paused with us to remember our losses.

This day was for you... And it was you who made it magical in ways none of us expected.

@TWULocal100 representing all NYC Transit Workers played a big part in the QCRD. They submitted every one of the over 140 union members lost to Covid to be honored. They also attended the ceremony and took time to speak with @JeniferRajkumar QCRD Member Brian.

The Wall Of Hearts was a stunning visual. A huge thank you to QCRD Committee Member Peg and QCRD Volunteer Betty who wrote out every single name to that was submitted to us.

We hope that everyone who came to the Bandshell yesterday took home one of these beautiful Yellow Hearts. Over 600 of them were handmade and donated by Yellow Hearts to Cope with our grief. We thank them for their amazing generosity and for sharing their artistic abilities.
