What really makes me angry about the ICWA proceedings is that these non-Indigenous people are challenging the rights of Indigenous tribes, whole tribes, to maintain connection with children born of our people who end up in circumstances where they might lose that connection.

I had to socially detransition (“go back in the closet”) for several months after being out as non-binary for a year due to fear I’d lose a job over it. A lot of “detransition” stories are similar to mine, or for monetary/med reasons, not regret. I hate these grifters so much.
