I don't have the right answer. I'm not anti-AI, I use it every day and I think it's a great help for humans.
What scares me is the overuse, without thinking about the consequences. (Not even counting the ecological impact)
I was looking at my Stripe Press collection: Working in Public, An Elegant Puzzle, High Growth Handbook.
Three incredible books. And deep down, they're all about the same thing: how humans build together.
What happens to companies built by people who run away from human contact, who no longer want it?
What problems do they actually solve? Will anyone still buy what they make in 5-10 years?
Launch Week, Day 5: we're closing out with two betas.
๐๏ธ 1. Document Joins (beta): link Meilisearch indexes the way you'd join SQL tables. Search results come back enriched with related data. No sync scripts, no stale results, no duplication.
๐ 2. Dynamic Search Rules (beta): pin documents to exact positions in results, triggered by conditions you define (empty query, keyword, time window). 3 rules per project, free.
As a reminder, here's a full list of features we covered this week:
- Sharding & Replication
- Enterprise security (SSO/SAML + MFA)
- Chat UI
- Search Performance Inspector
- Document Joins (beta)
- Dynamic Search Rules (beta)

Once again, Rust is the solution to the crap that happened to MongoDB. People who cannot understand the reason should take a step back: #mongobleed is no more than #heartbleed, and is due to the use of an unsafe memory language. Use Rust, not C, C++, or other crappy languages.
Introducing the Devstral 2 coding model family. Two sizes, both open source.
Also, meet Mistral Vibe, a native CLI, enabling end-to-end automation.
