Just landed at JFK - on the least convenient runway. Been taxiing for 30 mins round the whole airport. It’s euro departure rush hour. - still nowhere near our terminal.
And just-in-time! Today the heavens open, the winds are blowing, I don’t think the cherry blossom to last too long!! True definition of Sakura (the QWOW team)
Was in FRA @ecb got to see governing council room. And sat in Madam Lagarde’s chair!! Thank you for being so generous with your time (her look says it all!)
And yes. I stand by my comment that the trade deals being announced are largely garbage because they are so uncertain with no mechanisms for enforcement or even any idea of how to make them happen
This from @business “key details are scant for those who have (trade deals) — including potential exemptions, investment promises and potential changes to rules of origin. For @realDonaldTrump it’s all about the headline number around 15%. Which gives an av 17% tariff - the highest since Smoot Hawley in 1930
These trade deals: no process, no monitoring, no enforcement, no direction on how they will be implemented, etc. Frameworks are fine if there is a realistic chance that they will come to fruition. In five years time, let’s see how much of these deals have actually happened.
So T8 immigration hall full so holding people back in corridors. Doesn’t matter the airport AGP, LHR, JFK, LIS, FCO etc govt should be embaraased they put visitors through this welcome experience?? Immigration efficacy and efficiency are not mutually exclusive.
