It was a Happy Halloween - on Friday! Students and staff dressed up in costume to celebrate Halloween and to earn points for Battle of the Classes. The results of the contest were in age order: Class of 2022, Class of 2023, Class of 2024, Class of 2025, then Class of 2026.
Something for everyone! Hundreds of students attended the Club Fair in the cafeteria after school, joining clubs and discovering just how many experiences MHS offers!
Talk about higher education! Over 40 colleges were represented at the first College Fair sponsored by the Guidance Department. 11th and 12th graders were invited to attend to get information and to ask questions about these colleges.
The Day of Service and Remembrance ceremony concludes with the symbolic watering of the Survivor Tree. It was a moving end to our day honoring the 20the anniversary of 9/11.
MHS Drama is journeying Into the Woods on May 21, 22, and 23rd at Hampton Street Stadium. The staged concert performances will be at 7:30pm each night.
Members of the Dignity Club delivered an interactive presentation to 8th graders through their English classes. After kicking it off with a Kahoot, they discussed some of the stresses teenagers have and suggested some ways that people can deal with that stress. #MineolaProud

The students engaged in a variety of choice activities on the first ever DREAM Day. These included independent reading, how to do origami, reflecting on your personality and preferences, and how to manage your money.
And it didn’t rain on their parade! MHS had its Senior Parade down Jerich Turnpike and through the HS parking lots as teachers, administrators, staff, and families lined the sidewalks to cheer them on!
