The media is obsessed with this race.
That obsession doesn't seem to extend to healthcare or housing or any of the life-or-death issues at stake in November.
Bloomberg is owned by the world's 18th richest man.
Billionaires emit more carbon in one hour than a poor person does in a lifetime.
This is propaganda.
Hasan Piker: “Elon Musk is a fucking failure and yet in spite of his failures, because he happened to be at the right place at the right time, he has failed upwards with his endless wealth. He’s a horrible person, an unbelievably insecure person, and yet he’s the richest person on the planet. We know he doesn’t fucking work hard because he Tweets all the goddamn time”
Instead of discussing how Elon Musk is now the world's first trillionaire, we should talk about how he killed hundreds of thousands of people through his dismantling of food and medical aid to poor countries

The Trump administration is quietly moving to change the Affordable Care Act to let health insurers offer people loans to pay for their care.
Deep in a document over 1,000 pages long about how the Affordable Care Act market will operate next year, the administration suggests that insurers consider offering loans to cash-strapped customers.
Under this approach, people who develop a costly disease or need unexpected emergency care would turn to their health insurer for loans.
A third of American households already have medical debt, and this approach would mean even more debt that patients owe to their health insurance companies.
The insurers, who already make billions, would stand to make even more.

Hawaii just passed the first state law in the country banning corporations from making political donations in state elections.
Now a Koch-backed legal group is suing to overturn it.
Big Money won't get out of our politics without a fight — one that we the people must win.

Even in the celebrity-filled universe of cowardice, Paltrow selling apartments in an apartheid state is beyond the pale.

So in this scenario maine voters have no agency & 2 operatives working w/a non pro candidate control the Dem electoral outcome but in a presidential election w/many more operatives & a pro candidate, outcome is determined by a few independent political reporters & commentators?🤷🏻♂️

NEW: Public schools spend $700 billion a year. Tech companies, private equity, and Wall Street all want a cut.
They get it through revolving-door relationships with school administrators, and kids pay the price. We dug into it.
