The Surgeon Paradox is a concept I can’t stop thinking about.
If you’re choosing between two surgeons of equal merit, you should choose the one who DOESN’T look the part, because they’ve had to overcome more to get to where they are.
“Looking the part” is sometimes the worst indicator of competency.
The one who doesn’t look the part has had to overcome much more to achieve its status than the one from central casting.
If forced to choose, choose the one that doesn’t look the part.
@anuragmaloo was found alive, in what looks like a miracle. After 60 hrs missing, fell on a crevasse of 250 mts deep. He was rescued today, alive and in a critical condition. Life is so precious, and Anu is a warrior and the rescuers heros.
