@MillennialRisk@YoitisLeo@SmartestMetsGuy@ColdVariance@Masterflip_ Really hoping we see Pintaro come back for the bullpen and even Thornton come back as the 5/6 in the rotation rather than having 1-2 opener games a week. Thornton is a solid rotation piece who can eat innings
@MillennialRisk@YoitisLeo@SmartestMetsGuy@ColdVariance@Masterflip_ It’s impressive how well the bullpen has held up given how much the back end of the rotation struggled this year. Holmes going down w an unfortunate injury sucks cause the rotation 1-3 was doing well before Scott even got going
@MillennialRisk@YoitisLeo@SmartestMetsGuy@ColdVariance@Masterflip_ Team really stinks because regulars who should’ve developed years ago like Alvarez, Baty, and Vientos have all been borderline unplayable. Polanco and Robert going down with injuries blows too yes.
@BaseballWRLD_ Mr BABIP himself, I’ll never understand how he does it but he’s constantly running an absurd BABIP. Since his debut his BABIP is 20 points higher than anyone else in the league and is the 3rd highest in MLB history
@AndReese12@BeaneaterB@OleTimeHardball I’m a firm believer it’s dependent on a lot of other factors for the team and lineup rather than just looking at “well his WAR is better so he’s the right choice”
@AndReese12@BeaneaterB@OleTimeHardball How did my point completely fly by your head… yes the average SS and C are immensely more valuable than CF (CF is still the 3rd most important position). KK was such an insane defensive CF that he almost makes up for the entire defensive difference on his own.
@AndReese12@BeaneaterB@OleTimeHardball Considering KK is a CF with arguably the greatest range in the history of baseball, it is 100% just as important as a SS or Catcher story. KK is one of the greatest defensive CF to ever play the game and was great on the bases too despite not having a good bat
@HarrisDumpstr@PitchingNinja This is more of a “I don’t want my flamethrower bazooka throwing pitcher to randomly blow his arm out for an extra out” rather than anything analytics related
@bret_hb@varshos_glove@IAmRickGraham Up until this season they were both putrid defenders and baserunners. Still doesn’t make any sense to pick Arraez over Dunn.
