The #1 reason for homelessness in Los Angeles is loss of income.
Entertainment Execs hoping that striking workers fall into homelessness and budge is disrespectful and dangerous.
SOLIDARITY with the workers, writers, and actors on strike right now.

Honored to earn the support of @sdutOpinion. After an extensive and thoughtful process, I’m grateful that my experience and vision inspired confidence that I can deliver for San Diego County. https://t.co/n6GmgJ7Xq1
This is horrific. The city threw some tents, tarps, toilets and cots on an asphalt lot with zero shade. Folks are not allowed to bring their own shade or pop ups. This is the best SD is willing to do for the unhoused.
Coleen Cusack, a pro-bono attorney who has long opposed the city crackdowns on homeless residents, announced Tuesday that she wants to unseat District 3 City Councilman Stephen Whitburn. https://t.co/pf1Hp10jYW
Update: @SDMayorsOffice told me this morning there were 19 people staying in 13 tents at the city's first safe campsite. City officials say intakes are happening slowly to allow for adjustments as needed.
I've got a list of questions I'm awaiting answers on. #StayTuned
A cop tried to debate us during cop city canvassing today. A DSA member said fixing poverty would fix crime, cop said "not all crime, you'd still have political corruption." I asked what the cops are doing about political corruption and he stammered like the pig from Looney Tunes
Our super legal team of constitutional defenders — @sdmogo, @sdicACLU & @BrodyMcBrideEsq — got another great win today! Our case vs @SDSheriff settled resulting in common-sense measures that will protect people in their custody.

Any government where 6 individuals can unilaterally strip millions of people of their constitutionally protected civil rights is a government that should not exist. 🤷🏾♀️ It’s not that complicated to me
Giving people options is good. This option sucks. This was a performative opening so the Mayor could sign the ordinance and start enforcement. Tents on hot asphalt with no power, shade showers or services ready, is an epic failure #SanDiego
