A basic walk cycle is never a wow factor, but it's great practice!
It's nice to look back and see how far we've come. I still remember when I used to spend weeks, or even months trying to do them without much success. Now, this type of result can be achieved in a couple of days😄

It's always great to get back to fundamentals, so I'm refreshing my mind with a very cool 3D animation course by P2Design @pierrick_picaut as I'm getting ready to build my portfolio. Here's a walk cycle I did for this cool mech:

Here with good and bad news. The bad is that I was let go of my job due to budget limitations. The good is I'm back! I'll be working on new portfolio so I'll be uploading lots of cool animations. Here's a glimpse of what's to come:

@thomasmahler This is so nice to hear. I always get discouraged when almost every animation job application I look into has motion capture. I don't like motion capture, I like keyframe animation 😤 are you guys searching for animators atm? I would take whatever position, even junior 😅
