You cannot do a thing…
It’s out of your hands.
Once you’ve controlled all you can,
There comes a time when inaction is the only action. Rumination typically follows…
Leave it to your higher power - you’ve left it all out there. It takes time. Pause & breathe. Sit with it.
20% of beer market could be non-alcoholic: Athletic Brewing CEO:
"…national grocery chains are more than 20% non-alcoholic beer of all beer these days. We think as a company, at least 10 to 20% of the future beer market will be non-alcoholic beer."

100% — mix in an NA!!
“The future of NA is actually alongside booze,” she says. “Why go to a specific niche store when you can grab your NA alongside everything else you have on your grocery list?”

@gregorycampion Advertising spend for NA as a % of total ad spend at Heineken, Guinness, etc. Up & trending up. Plus the brand recognition boosts sales for their alcoholic staples as an added bonus.
Spent ~3 hrs downtown at a bar. 1-hr open tab. 3 Heineken 0.0’s and switched to club soda when the happy hour expired. Pivoted home when the party inevitably started to go downhill after all the shot & beer combos. There’s power in being present. I’m happy to always be at my best
When I don’t drink, my body is healthy. I drink water, exercise, stretch, sleep, read, do puzzles, etc. I am where my feet are. The mind takes that as a cue to be calm. Composed. Present.
I’ve been watching Friends from S1:E1 and seeing Chandler has had a profound effect on my desire to live an alcohol-free lifestyle. I see the same Joker in him who I have in myself. The inner demon is much quieter without the lighter fluid. I choose me > it. I choose life.
Matthew Perry characterized his addiction as The Joker, a villain who revels in watching the world burn. Interestingly, he also had a glowing Batman sign in the bottom of his pool - a reminder that light exposes & extinguishes dark - let the light in. RIP. https://t.co/1vPMDrO4YP
Who I am doesn’t align with who I become when I drink alcohol. The dichotomy has grown too wide for me to ignore. I’m a better person when I’m myself. How can I always ensure I’m being my true self? By saying “no” to that first drink, each and every day.

I often take things personally
I know that hurt people hurt people and the pain is real.
How can you reflect on the pain instead of resisting it?
Why would you let it ruin your day?
Protect your precious energy.
I never take things personally
I know that people act as a reflection of their own inner world, and not as a reflection of me.
If someone intentionally hurt me, it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with me — it means their inner discomfort was too much for them to handle.
Perhaps breathe through swelling emotions. Pause, feel. You’ve experienced before and surely again.
How can you reflect on pain as opposed to resisting it? In what ways can we leverage our tides of feelings to our advantage?
You can be your own home base.
Present in your feet

Today is all there is.
Yesterday is behind us.
Tomorrow is uncertain.
What are you doing today?
I’m living my life as it comes.
That is the gift, the present.
And on the 7th day. Whatever your higher power, Sunday can be a rest day. Take it all in, whatever it is. The weekend isn’t quite over and the week hasn’t quite begun. A natural pause. It’s all good.
