Will always have mad respect for @Wanlov.
For years, he has not backed down speaking on social issues. Unbowed. Unbothered. Whatever you think of him for or against, no media narrative and heckling has changed a single bit of his personality.
One of one.
#StopGalamseyNow
Nkyinkyim Band met with MUSIGA President Bessa Simons to discuss future projects and ways to improve the music scene for bands in Ghana. Exciting times ahead! 🎶🇬🇭 #nkyinkyimband#MUSIGA#GhanaMusic#musicbusiness
Also one thing I learned from this #StopGalamseyNow protest. Ghanaian protests mostly appear to me more fun in the face of crying national issue. We can’t be playing “Do the dance and Asake money money money” at protests. Yani abre.
We don’t have chanting/charging songs. With this protest, ingenuity helped at some point as MCs composed songs on their feet. But generally, we need more spirited songs like Felas.
Our musicians must do well & compose more songs that resonate with people’s aspirations for this country. Odoyewu, money money songs and the personal gratification nwom saa . We are all involved.
