Most of the designer strains that exist today never would have arisen in the wild and are the result of careful and, at times, complex breeding programs to isolate specific traits and qualities.
The answer to the question where does wild cannabis grow is just about anywhere and everywhere. That’s why it’s called weed. It used to be very widespread and considered a nuisance plant.
Central Asia is where the plant originally evolved, but it was carried around the globe by humans. It came to the new world in the 15-16th century as part of the ship building industries.
I would agree to an extent. Sign-ups, pre-orders, etc. can be a good way to test the interest in an idea/concept. It can be a good gauge to look at the activity in your target market also so you know what advertising and marketing channels to target when the time comes.
But it isn't a validation of the marketability and potential revenue for your idea, I would agree on that. You get that validation when money changes hands, and repeatedly.
Coworkers, former coworkers, and word of mouth.
I have plans for a trade show soon... micro-fiber clothes, coozies, cooling towels for marketing swag.
I also want to do some kind of big guerilla marketing type thing. I had an idea to give out 2020 iPad Pro's with the first 10-15 pro plan sign ups. It's about a 3k-4k investment, but the word of mouth marketing from that could be crazy.
I remember reading about a start up with an app service (Uber? Doordash?) doing an early marketing campaign where they gave out iPhones and got some insane ROI from the word of mouth guerilla marketing that resulted. It's a big up front cost, bug if it gets enough people in my target market, it could be worth it.
@Kappaemme1926@dev_gen88926 Also budget. I just picked up a lightly used, perfect working condition mini Mac for $180 shipped.
Closest MacBook in capabilities was 4-5x the cost.
@ITCryptoRocket1@PeterDiamandis Cool story bro.
Also cool assumption that I didn’t already have it looked at by an independent cyber security firm on retainer.
I may be a total noob, but I’m not an idiot.
@PeterDiamandis If that device can be made to detect lung cancer, is there a similar test that can detect pancreatic, colon, breast, prostate, or cervical cancers?
