@patrickdichter Wire transfer was already sent from our end. Luckily the bank had not sent it on their end to the receiving bank. We got the money back. Any and every change in business as usual must be validated and approved by at least one executive when more than $5,000 is involved.
@patrickdichter This happened at a company where I was IT Director. CFO came to me and asked me if we could undo a wire transfer of approximately $140k. I chuckled, then I realized he was serious. The AP lady got an email that was spoofed, looked like it came from the owner of the company.
@atensnut I usually tell my wife to "calm down and remind her that my girlfriend never behaves that way when she's upset... Don't you want to be like her?" Then I suggest that she go make a nice dinner as a show of her gratitude for my having to put up with her. That worked on all 3 wives.
