When my career was at an all time high and I had the number one song in the world, my mom called me and said:
“Dad has a tumor in his head the size of a tangerine. They’re going to take it out tomorrow morning. You need to come home.”
I immediately took the next plane back home to Detroit.
10 months later, my father died.
My friend, Avicii, killed himself.
My peer, Mac Miller, died of an overdose.
Soon after, a childhood friend of mine, Ronnie, died.
I finally looked in the mirror and said to myself, “Hey man! You’re going to die”.
When I came face-to-face with my mortality I realized something that changed me. I realized that I had spent my life waiting for the right time to truly come alive.
It's as if I was preparing for this special moment in the future where everything would just click and I’d really show up, really give it my all, really be the FULL ME.
I realized that now is the time. It's the only time we have.
Don’t keep waiting to live your life until the right time. It will never come.
Start now and KEEP GOING!
I tend to be a quite literal and detailed person in what I say and do in this life. Bottom line, if I don’t specify, please don’t assume. #w... https://t.co/o97AuzNnac
@BlueDem29034291@Maria_Peace12@KTLA Funny thing is if people are sitting on their asses then nobody pays attention. The only reason this is still a topic of discussion is because enough people decided not to sit in their asses and instead, actually take legal steps to do something about it.
@BlueDem29034291@Maria_Peace12@KTLA Bullshit, the Japanese git assistance after Hiroshima, millions of Hispanics are earning their keep with countless benefits for illegally entering the country, meanwhile haitians and Jamaicans are torpedoed and bull-whipped into oblivion for commiting the EXACT SAME CRIME.
