😊❤️❤️😊👉Update! Red's Dividend and Wild n' Wild arrived safely today at Mereworth Farm in KY where they will be permanently retired. So very glad we could rescue them and give them the safe retirement they deserve. Thank you Jessie B and Clint B for quarantine and transport. Thank you to everyone who donated to help us help these two. And a big thank you to Mereworth Farm for giving these two a forever home. They made it! 😊❤️
🛑✋👉 Update! We have received an Equus Grant which will help with the rest of Mercy's Vet and Burial costs so we should have everything covered in addition to the $1505 that we have raised. Mercy's Vet bill came to $1473.17. Her purchase price from the Lot was $750, transport to Vet Clinic $80 and we are still waiting on the burial fee. Thank you so much to everyone that shared, cared and donated to help us help Mercy and the Equus Foundation.
We wish Mercy could have lived many more years but her condition and the infection was too much for her to overcome. She is finally at peace.
No more suffering. 🙏🕯
🔥🚨🆘👉 Update! We have raised $1425 so far for Mercy. We still need to raise $1275 more to help with her Veterinary and burial costs. Please consider a donation. Our PayPal Donation link is: https://t.co/f4mK1gbZBl

Update! Run free sweet girl !
We picked Mercy up from the Lot today and she was having trouble breathing. She was taken to the Vet Clinic for diagnostic tests, bloodwork, ultrasound, scope, Xrays. This poor mare had such a horrific sinus infection that it went in to the bone. The vet flushed her sinuses and the pus and matter was so horrendous and still could not remove it all. Her nasal passages were narrowed. The vet said they have never seen one this bad.
Mercy's left hind hock injury also had infection in the bone. Mercy was at least 200 lbs underweight as she only weighed 900 lbs. We believe she was in her mid twenties. The vet felt with her age and the severe and long term infection that she would not be able to overcome it. We made the decision to let Mercy cross over the Rainbow Bridge this evening. 🌈 No one can hurt her anymore. Her life mattered.
We don't have the total amount of her Vet bill but it will be quite large so we are going to keep our PayPal Donation link up for anyone that would like to help us with those costs. Our initial fundraiser for Mercy raised $1270 but we still need to raise the remaining $1430 to help toward her veterinary costs.
Thank you to everyone who shared, cared and donated so far to help us help Mercy. We only wish it could have been a different outcome. Thank you so much to S Shain for doing the transport to the vet clinic and being with Mercy until the end. ❤️
This mare died due to severe neglect and abuse over the years. Mercy has been suffering for a long time. Surely God will deal with those that do this to animals.

🤦♂️😞👉It does not appear that the Jockey Club has learned anything from their data. To keep speaking about increasing the foal crop and the ridiculous Mare Incentive program tells us that they have not taken the issue of Thoroughbred broodmares ending up in the lower end auction/slaughter pipeline serious or that they are going to do anything about it.
Folks, speak up for the mares, speak up for the Bizzar Browns, Mercy, Keepthename and so many other mares that lost their lives because they were thrown away like trash.
The Thoroughbred industry is a multi-billion dollar business and there is no excuse that the mares and all Thoroughbreds have not been protected better and the Holocaust continues to happen.

🔥🚨🆘👉 Update! We have raised $1240 so far for Mercy. We still need to raise $1460 more to reach goal. Please consider a donation to help us help her. Our PayPal Donation link is: https://t.co/f4mK1gbrLN
Thank you.
@SarahAcid It is expensive because bail, transport, quarantine and vet and farrier care have to be paid. Furthermore, if horses get sick while in quarantine and have to stay longer then that also is additional costs.

🚨🔥🆘🔥🚨🆘🔥🚨🆘🚨🔥🆘👉 Very Urgent Emergency Fundraiser. We were hoping someone would have stepped up for this poor senior unidentified tattooed mare but so far no one has and her deadline is this Friday. She is in bad shape and also has a severe left hind hock injury and is very lame. We want to get her off of the lot and to quarantine and seen by a veterinarian ASAP. We are naming her Mercy for now. She is no longer just Tag 478.
We have secured a retirement place for her if she can pull through. She will be going to beautiful Mereworth Farm, in KY. We are not sure what her long total expenses will be yet but for now we need to raise at least $2700 to secure her, transport to quarantine, quarantine and initial Vet exam and care. We may have to do a subsequent fundraiser for her for additional vet costs and transportation to KY.
Right now we have to concentrate on the task at hand. Please consider a donation to help us help Mercy. Our PayPal Donation link is : https://t.co/Yi2dJr6AJo

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘👉 Poster 10-18-26. Sadly, Thoroughbreds just keep coming in to the lots. Hard Luck Henry and Drunk N Disorderly at the CO lot are running out of time. Tag 478 at the Stroud lot, unidentified tattooed mare is very lame and has a severe cut and injury to her left hock, she needs out and vet care ASAP. Many more need help and several in California. See contact information on poster for the California horses.
The Jockey Club and industry continue to sit on their hands while Thoroughbreds keep ending up at feedlots with no industry help. It is a disgrace that this keeps happening in a multi billion dollar business. Speak up on the horses behalf. Contact the Jockey Club and demand change and action. These horses served the industry and they deserve to be safe and protected.
Who is going to help them? They cannot wait for legislation to save them.

❤️🩹❤️🩹🦷🦷👉 Update! Wild n' Wild and Red's Dividend are at the end of their quarantine. Last week their teeth were floated and they were vaccinated and nasal swabbed. Red was also checked for pregnancy and she is not in foal thank goodness. This week their feet will be trimmed. Soon they will be headed to @Mereworth_Farm Farm in KY where they will be retired and forever safe.
Both were rescued from the Stroud, OK lot. Neither deserved to be there, both deserve to live and be taken care of. Their lives matter! ❤️❤️

The Thoroughbred industry needs to provide the funds and infrastructure to provide a safe retirement for broodmares when their breeding careers are over. Countless thoroughbred mares are ending up at cheap auctions and then feedlots/kill pen. Our organization has rescued many of them. Sadly one thoroughbred mare died this past week at a feedlot. It is a disgrace and cruel what is happening to these mares. Stop wanting to increase the foal crop until you take care of the first problem. The long term welfare and safety of the mares that give life to the industry must be the priority first and not creating more horses that may meet the same fate.
