Anyone else get this feeling that they really need to speak to an old mentor or someone they worked with ages ago, but things got left 'badly', and you haven't spoken in over 2 years, so you don't want to message/email, but something in you is saying you need to?
@Mobius__Trip@MissBteachs@MrTs_NQTs True, but I would still go to school as usual as there will probably be a picket line outside so I could see on the day
How do you get kids to stop talking when you're trying to explain things? The minute I open my mouth they start talking again like ARGH!! #teaching#edutwitter#school
Had a good chat with my new mentor this morning and explained about how in past placements I've had really bad anxiety, and he said to me 'if you feel panicky or are having a bad day let me know, mental health is more important than teaching a lesson' means so much to me!
Please retweet. Do not put off that doctors appointment as a teacher because you are busy. You are far more important! Any concerns call your doctors! I have a little journey ahead of me and wish I hadn’t put things off!

Can't believe I'm going into a new school placement soon, after having 4 months 'off'!
Any advice on getting back into school mode and how to refresh your subject knowledge?

When all you want to do is talk to specific people that have helped you through a lot this year, but you haven't spoken to them since June and don't know how to get in touch with them (other than their school emails) 😔 #PGCE#school#lonely
@MathsladyScott Did this with my uni maths teaching cohort of 36 of us and we had no shared birthdays which was hilarious to watch our lecturer try and explain that one 😂
Put the breaks on finishing my training to try and focus on sorting myself out, but it's really difficult when it is all your family asks you about 😔
Gotta keep telling myself that I'm doing this for me!
