That prepared statement was like watching a defendant’s evidence-in-chief after a no comment interview, quietly admiring the artful way he’s explaining the evidence and circling the parts that are going to make for delicious cross-examination.
@MD_Maynard @CEOofHMCTS I genuinely can’t think of any proper reason why not. I’ve tried to work out why they might need to withold / manage it in this way but I’m stumped!
@_millymoo @MD_Maynard @CEOofHMCTS What struck me was that court staff are to be consulted during the carrying out of these assessments, but not the many many other professionals expected to be using the courts daily and who have a different set of needs and risks.
I hope there are lots of short, simple, factual questions at 4pm, and not lots of "what is your message to all the people who feel let down" and "is it one rule for you and another for everyone else" which, though important, will be very easily evaded.

DFJ for London tells me I cannot access risk assessment unless I attend in person because of this from HMCTS:”A copy will not be provided, nor should the document be provided by email.” This will NOT do. I receive many emails from worried members about court safety.@CEOofHMCTS
1/3 Having praised you and the team @CEOofHMCTS I am concerned to see HMCTS have directed CFC not to send me and others their risk assessment by email. I have to attend in person to receive this in person !!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE. Told up to 10 courts are opening at CFC ! CLQC
I will discuss this with senior judiciary this week. You will receive strong leadership. I will not compromise the safety of my members and their reasonable request to see assessments without travelling to court to do so. Transparency is key. Retweet all please. CLQC
