People don’t understand the impact of a good environment. It can change you in the most profound ways mentally and emotionally. The spaces and people you’re around shape your mindset more than you realize. When your environment is healthy, you respond better to everything.
And y’all need to start speaking up. I never feel better when I take the high road. Not ever. There’s shit that eats me up daily from a decade ago. When I react how I want to react there’s no need to relive the scenario. It was corrected. Dare to be the only real one in the room.

it happens in a region called the hippocampus, the part of your brain responsible for memory and learning... so every night, your brain is literally trying to upgrade itself.
but the twist is; chronic stress can shut this process down completely
high levels of cortisol (your stress hormone) don’t just affect your mood, they kill off developing brain cells before they mature, that’s why long term stress is strongly linked to memory problems, poor focus and even depression. it’s not just in your head… it’s physically reshaping your brain.
exercise does the opposite, it boosts a protein called bdnf (brain derived neurotrophic factor), it’s called fertilizer for the brain, which helps new neurons grow and survive... sleep, movement and low stress create the perfect environment for brain growth. remove them, and the process slows or stops.
in one study, adults who exercised regularly showed measurable increases in hippocampal volume over time, another found that people with chronic stress had a smaller hippocampus compared to those with lower stress levels. your brain is constantly adapting either growing stronger or quietly shrinking based on how you live.
you don’t feel it happenin cos there’s no alarm when stress starts damaging your brain or when sleep deprivation slows growth... it’s gradual, invisible and accumulative.
