Hollywood is in disarray amid mass firings and fears of the future. The big take-aways in the trades seem to be that people need to be making smaller more thoughtfully crafted movies for audiences. Welcome to the party, pal.
Thankful to have two films in contention this year: Long Line of Ladies in the Doc Short category and Are You Still There? in the Live-Action category. Both contain a piece of my heart ❤️ #fyc
“We challenged ourselves to make a film that truly honors its subjects, resists manufacturing drama or conflict, and creates a defined line for the respectful consumption of another’s culture”🙌🏽 https://t.co/P7V4l5dpUy

kick off Native American Heritage Month by watching @shaandiintome + @RAYning’s LONG LINE OF LADIES, an incredible and beautiful film celebrating an Indigenous history, present, and future. check it out on @nytimes Op-Docs! https://t.co/rmavJinn5f
There’s a historical lack of representation and celebration around periods. The Op-Doc “Long Line of Ladies” captures a Karuk coming-of-age ceremony where it’s celebrated, not stigmatized. https://t.co/JmNytAXzMK

Still thinking about @shaandiintome and @RAYning's documentary short LONG LINE OF LADIES. Maybe the best thing I've seen this year. Hoping there's a place to watch for folks on the internet sometime soon. https://t.co/l3d4gXVv4O
In light of the draft of a leaked majority Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade, I want to call your attention to the people that would be impacted most by the end of legalized abortion across the United States. 🧵:
Congress must pass legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade as the law of the land in this country NOW. And if there aren’t 60 votes in the Senate to do it, and there are not, we must end the filibuster to pass it with 50 votes.
