@PronouncedHare Seems like some not-so-subtle sexist undertones from those criticising the appointment. I think she'll be a decent Minister and having a decade of experience working for Police would set you up pretty well.
@EmmaVitz Quite liked how my school did it were the extension class in year 9&10 focused more on breadth, studying a topic for a term that wasn’t in the curriculum (eg America as a super power, how DNA works, Alexander the Great, etc), rather then streaming as such. Only maths was streamed
@andrewtychen@BarughTyrone@AbsentHog reckon you could also do a difference in score col too to see how aligned you feel about places (this may give Greece the edge)
@dvdjhnhll @farmgeek Liabilities aside - do you have an estimate on how much impact on warming the reduced sequestration would have at this scale? In my mind it highlights the dangers of relying too heavily on offsets when they can so easily be blown/washed away or (worse) go up in flames
@EmmaVitz@aschiff Apparently 1mm of rain = 1L of water per square metre (cross sectional area), or 1 tonne of water per ha. Standard diameter of the funnel is 203mm and the cylinder 64.1mm in diameter. src: https://t.co/XKHKBJ9cjK and https://t.co/391s58uPSE
@PtownBdizzle VicBooks is owned by the VUWSA Trust (a trust at arm's length but ultimately controlled by @VUWSA ). Student Levies go to the University, who contracts VUWSA for some services. The University is also the landlord of VicBooks premises. All of the above may help/have tried to help.
@Publicwrongs GWRC results are up https://t.co/vTkkUknnqi I think it's reasonable that candidates who have endured a very long and public job interview find out first...
@MaxRashbrooke@NZStuff I think the best way to avoid conflicts would be to stop hollowing out the public sector so it’s not as reliant on contracting out in the first place…
Have you seen our #kakapo#webcam? Check out what Rakiura and foster chicks Solstice-A2 and Solstice-A3 are up to here:
https://t.co/X0eyDHGP1C. (The YouTube link may change, so use this link from now on.) Not long until the chicks fledge, so get in quick! #kakapo2022
@kakariki_green Labour Ministers also recently signed off on another Overseas Investment Office application for OceanaGold to purchase land to enable this new mine under public conservation land https://t.co/F3H2meyg5y
@andrewtychen On the storage question do you think this would/should be extended to use cases such as linking with an AirNZ airpoints account if they end up being required for domestic flights? Seems like it’d be a pain to show the pass and boarding pass on your phone
@Davidxvx I look forward to the day when we actually start reducing gross emissions and stop dreaming about planting our way out of it or paying off others for our privilege to pollute.
@Davidxvx It’s shocking aye. I remember doing an analysis of the initial set of NDCs and all the countries aiming to meet them with international offsets and found it wasn’t possible. The countries with ‘excess’ removals available weren’t enough to meet the demand. Unsure for latest NDCs
