PPSA were treated to a great recycling assembly from Carrymore Environmental Centre. Herons then explored recycling further in a workshop where they sorted rubbish into recycling containers and looked at products made from recycled materials. @Pawlettprimary@Carymoor
World Book Day was a real celebration of books and the power of storytelling. A day full of stories, ended with an evening of bedtime stories, hot chocolate, pyjamas, comfy clothes and blankets. What a lovely way to end the day. @_TPLT_@Pawlettprimary@LisaDadds#WorldBookDay
We were delighted to find out that every single Reception child in Heron class has had their art work entitled, Me and My Family, selected to be featured in a published book. We were blown away by the comments from @YoungWritersCW@Pawlettprimary@LisaDadds
Science club was explosive today! The children enjoyed learning about the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar today when making volcanos. Well done everyone ! @Pawlettprimary@_TPLT_@LisaDadds#experiments#scienceclub
Happy Christmas! I was really impressed with the loose parts Christmas tree that was so carefully planned out and constructed by the children alone. I loved the combination of man made and natural objects. @Pawlettprimary@LisaDadds#learningthroughplay#looseparts
Wow! 15 star readers who have consistently read more than 3 times every week this half term. You deserve your non uniform day. Unbelievable reading Heron class! @LisaDadds@Pawlettprimary#loveforreading
What a fabulous morning we had with @littlecitysomer The children relished in the opportunity to become vets, builders, hairdressers etc. The language that emerged from this high quality play was amazing. @Pawlettprimary@LisaDadds#learningthroughplay
What a respectful and moving Remembrance Day service we observed @Pawlettprimary today. Thank you to our 3 visitors from our local Royal British Legion branch. The whole school were silent. @LisaDadds@_TPLT_@PoppyLegion
Well done Herons, for drawing some fabulous versions of a Mouse King character, inspired by the author, Alex T.Smith. We are really looking forward to reading The Nutcracker and the Mouse Kingβs Christmas Shenanigans. @Pawlettprimary@LisaDadds @Alex_T_Smith @MacmillanKidsUK
