@The_HCPC If there was evidence that our fees were spent in a way that actually helps registrants, and an improvement in service is noticed after fees are increased, we'd see the value of the increase. At the moment it just seems like a mandatory fee we need to pay with no alternative.
@The_HCPC A lot of unhappy responses removed with the original post too. I think we're all quite angry that fees are constantly being increased and our money is spent on Christmas parties and the like. Any correspondence with you guys is slow and the FTP process is really inefficient.
@OT_LKF_ When I was 7 a swing hit me in the face on holiday. I was spurting out blood like a fountain. It was by my eye and I couldn't see for days. Parents stuck a plaster on it. No hospital or doctors. I have a lovely scar. I only ever went to the doctor's if there was risk of death ๐
@The_HCPC I feel that every time you propose a fee increase it's a resounding chorus of objection but you raise them anyway. Considering we have no choice but to pay the fees to practice, you have us over a barrel really, don't you? It's a choice between accepting the increase or resigning
@fatima_medic When I worked as an admin, one of the doctors would only talk to me through my manager, even if we were all in the same room... Honestly think certain people just love the feeling of power.
@MetroUK Quite a sweeping statement there. Some of us are fans of her music and genuinely upset by this. It's also tragic when anyone dies, especially whilst young, and it's a pretty normal reaction for people to show sympathy.
I'm enjoying my training as an occupational health case manager! So many parallels between OH and OT - and it is very function focused. Also realising how I've been failed by occupational health myself in the past, and aim to do better. #occupationalhealth#occupationaltherapy
Seeking participants to be interviewed for my dissertation. Criteria is you are a survivor of intimate partner violence and participate I'm activities outdoors. This will not only add to a very small evidence base, but gives survivors a chance to speak up

@JennieRed14 I think it's definitely something unique to each person! I'm glad you've finally found answers and things are starting to make more sense ๐
