New paper published in Scientific Reports! @SciReports
Do the eyes and hand use motion information in the same way? Our findings suggest they do not.

I'm happy to share our latest study!
The human posterior parietal cortex presents distinct subregions specialized in processing different types of sensory feedback for motor control:
✅ V6A → visual feedback
✅ PEc → proprioceptive feedback

2of2) This distinction supports the idea that attention and motor planning are mediated by distinct neural mechanisms depending on whether the task involves attention or motor intention.

🧠 New in #NeuroImage@ElsevierConnect: We explored mPPC–M1 connectivity and found that plasticity-inducing TMS can strengthen this network — but only when applied at precise, time-dependent parameters.

I'm thrilled to share my first first-author article, now published in Scientific Reports! (@SciReports). In this study we revealed distinct microsaccade patterns when attention vs. motor planning is involved.

Excited to share our new study published in the Journal of Neuroscience (@SfNJournals), where we explore the role of the medial posterior parietal cortex in coordinating attention and reaching movements.

Congratulations to Riccardo Brandolani @RBrandolani (Visiting grad student from @Unibo) who presented his APLab work at the Second annual Theoretical and Applied Neuroscience Workshop, in Napoli (Italy) and was selected for the best poster and invited to give a talk! 🥳
Happy to share our new study on @FrontNeurosci in which we investigated how covert attention modulates reaching movements of both right and left handers.
